Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OYI Learning Systems LLP (dba One Young India) ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the One Young India website and Services. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data we collect
- Account & identity: name, email, and (via sign-in) your member profile.
- Booking & enquiry: participant name, grade, school, city, and parent/guardian contact details you provide.
- Payment: processed by Razorpay; we receive confirmation and a payment reference, not your full card details.
- Usage: basic technical data needed to operate the site securely.
- Writing Studio: the drafts, author details, sources and files you save, your review history, and records needed to apply membership, trial and AI usage allowances.
Analytics
We measure how many people use our sites so we can tell whether our notes, labs and programmes are helping. We do this in three ways.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and visits. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.
- Our monthly visitor count. Once a month, your browser stores the current month (for example "2026-10") on your device and sends us one message containing only the name of our site you are on. We do not use cookies for this and we do not store your IP address or any identifier. The count is approximate: if you use two browsers, you are counted twice.
- Google Analytics, only if you allow it. A small bar asks whether we may use Google Analytics cookies. If you choose "No thanks", Google Analytics does not load at all. If you choose "Allow analytics", Google Analytics sets its cookies and receives the pages you visit (without the extra details some links carry, apart from campaign tags), along with your browser and device type. We have switched off Google's advertising features.
- Meta Pixel, only on our welcome, pricing, programme and booking pages, and only if you allow it. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. On those pages the bar also asks about Meta Pixel cookies. If you choose "No thanks", nothing is sent to Meta. If you choose "Allow", we store a Meta browser cookie and tell Meta Platforms when you view one of those pages, register interest in a programme, start a checkout or booking, or complete a payment (with the amount), and when you create an account after allowing it on one of those pages. Meta also receives your IP address and browser type, may link this to a Facebook or Instagram account you are signed in to, and uses it under its own privacy policy. Meta's own code does not run on our site, so it cannot read our pages or anything you type into a form: we never send Meta a name, email, phone number or any student's details. We use this only to count which of our ads lead to sign-ups, enquiries and bookings, and to show our ads to people more likely to find them useful.
You can change your choice at any time using "Analytics choices" at the bottom of any page; on the welcome, pricing, programme and booking pages it covers the Meta Pixel too. If you withdraw, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel stop and their cookies are deleted from your browser. You can also control ads on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta account's ad preferences.
2. How we use it
To provide and confirm programs and memberships, contact you about your booking or account, respond to enquiries, meet legal and accounting obligations, and improve our Services. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate, for example our payment processor (Razorpay), our backend/hosting providers, and the analytics and advertising measurement services described above (Google and Meta, only if you allow them), and with program partners strictly as needed to deliver a program you've booked, and where required by law. Some providers (for example our hosting, backend, and payment partners) may store or process data on servers outside India; where they do, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected.
Writing Studio and AI assistance
Your saved drafts and review records are held in our Wix backend. The Studio also keeps a recovery copy in the browser you use. On a shared device, sign out when you finish and clear that browser's site data if you need to remove local copies.
The Writing Studio keeps a copy of your writing in this browser only until it reaches your account. When you log out, we offer to save any unsaved writing to your account first, then remove it from this browser, and deleting a draft removes its copies too. Unsaved writing from another account is removed from a shared browser after 30 days. Copies you download stay in your Downloads folder until you delete them. On a shared computer, always log out when you finish.
AI assistance is optional. When you request coaching, or enable live suggestions, the provider named in the Studio receives your writing format, title and the draft text being reviewed. The World 101 companion sends your question and the selected subject's context. Account login credentials are not included in these AI requests. Avoid putting private contact details or sensitive personal information into prompts or drafts sent for AI feedback.
Student AI assistance is processed by Cloudflare Workers AI. Cloudflare states that it does not use Workers AI customer content to train models or improve its services without explicit consent. See Cloudflare's data handling information. Turning off live suggestions stops new automatic requests; it does not cancel a request already sent to the provider.
Built with Llama. Model licences: Llama 3.1 and Llama 3.3.
Optional AI assistance does not publish your work. Submitting a paper for editorial review sends it, with your author details, to the Learnacy Editorial Board's review process, which runs on systems operated by One Young India. The review assesses the paper against the Learnacy rubric and checks the sources it cites by visiting the public web pages you link to; your paper itself is not shared with outside parties for this purpose. The Board oversees publication decisions and can stop an acceptance before it takes effect. Work accepted for publication becomes publicly accessible with its credited author details.
4. Children's data
Where a participant is a minor, we collect their data through a parent or guardian, who provides consent on their behalf. We limit collection to what a program reasonably requires.
5. Retention & security
We keep personal data for as long as your account or membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (generally up to six to eight years for financial and tax records), after which we delete or anonymise it. A child’s data is kept only as long as needed to deliver the programme and meet these obligations. We apply reasonable safeguards, and member login sessions are held securely and never expose your credentials to the browser.
A record that an account has used its Essential trial remains after the trial ends so the same account cannot repeatedly activate free access. Data requests, including account deletion requests, can be made through the contact below.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent, subject to legal limits. To exercise any of these rights, email our Grievance Officer at info@oneyoungindia.com with the subject "Data request" and the email or account your data is associated with. We will verify your identity and respond within the timelines required by the DPDP Act, aiming to acknowledge within 2 working days. If you are a parent or guardian acting on behalf of a minor, please tell us so we can verify your authority.
7. Grievance / Data Protection Officer
